mixed media mini retreat ~ elements of joy

We'll begin with cast-offs to create something new and unique, while remembering and revisiting what brings us joy. In the busyness of everyday life, it's easy to forget the elements that come together to create joy. In this workshop, we will engage with mixed media techniques using encouraging prompts in a safe space. We will experience joy and laughter as we texture, transfer and transform things that have been discarded ~ reclaimed wood and ephemera ~ into something magical!

This is an in-person workshop in Ottawa, Ontario.

Receive 2 substrates (reclaimed wood, ready to make your own)

Learn 3 techniques I use over & over in my mixed media art, plus engaging prompts so you don't have to face the blank 'canvas' alone

Refunds

These are unusual times ~ if I have to cancel the workshop, you will receive a full refund.

If you have to cancel, I will do my best to help you transfer your registration to someone else. If we can't do that, then you will be able to apply your fee to a future workshop, to a purchase of original art, or to purchase art supplies (ephemera bundles, digital downloads) or some combination of these with no expiry date.

Workshop cancellation: If the organizer cancels the workshop for any reason, the registration fee will be refunded in full. If a participant is unable to attend, they may transfer their registration to another participant. If the original participant is unable to do this, they may apply their registration fee toward a future workshop (with no expiry date) or toward any other purchase at artbyroanne.com. Workshop fees are non-refundable.

Assumption of risk: I understand that workshops may involve the use of various materials and tools, and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, or damage to personal property.

Release of liability: I release and discharge the organizer, its agents, employees, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever, whether at law or in equity, arising out of or related to any injury, illness, or damage resulting from my participation in the workshop.

Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer from any and all claims, liabilities, or costs arising from my participation in the workshop, including but not limited to legal fees, expenses, or claims made by third parties.

Emergency medical treatment: In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the organizer to seek medical treatment on my behalf.

Photography: I grant the organizer the right to take photographs during the workshop for promotional or educational purposes.

COVID-19 acknowledgement: I acknowledge the potential risks associated with participating in group activities during the COVID-19 pandemic and confirm that I will adhere to any safety measures and guidelines set forth by the organizer. The workshop organizer assumes no liability for any potential exposure to or contraction of COVID-19 during the event. Participants attend at their own risk and by registering, they acknowledge and accept this disclaimer. If I am experiencing COVID symptoms, I agree to defer my registration as outlined in the cancellation policy above.
