At the heart of much of what I make is the dynamic tension between what is delicate (florals, birds) and what is strong (decades old wood, rusty objects). That relationship is well-captured in this tiny bird on solid wood.

Celebrating the feminine, this collage includes a scrap from an envelope rescued from the recycling bin, along with gold polka dots, Japanese paper and a doily.  

Round, but roughly cut, the circular pieces in this collection can be laid flat on a surface. Despite their shape, they will also stand on their sides. They could also be hung with a sawtooth hanger or poster strips as they are fairly lightweight. The sides are unfinished in keeping with the rough grain of the wood, with some of the paint and papers wrapped on the edge.

Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
