This collage captures that perfect time in the middle of summer when the playful, picnic season has definitely arrived, yet there is anticipatory joy for what still remains.

There are so many layers to songs we sing, including a found poem created from vintage book pages and sheet music. Other layers of sheet music peek through as well. Japanese tissue featuring strawberries and tissue with a gingham style pattern add to the mid-summer theme. Molding paste provides a textured sky, together with acrylic and watercolour paints.

The collage comes with a wire hanger attached. Please note that the substrate is reclaimed wood so it is perfectly imperfect ~ a slight warp adds to its charm. Signed on the back, this piece is finished with a matte varnish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
