fly ~ instant PDF download for art journaling & mixed media projects
fly, verb ~ to move through the air using wings
Find inspiration and spend time creating, rather than searching with this 25 page collection. This carefully curated collection includes 30 images of birds and nests, as well as suggestions for their use. Many of the images also include butterflies, flowers, branches, fruit, and other natural elements. Image sources include Victorian ephemera, museum collections, and Japanese art, dating from the 1700s to the 1950s.
Images come in a range of colour palettes, including sepia (aged images) as well as black ink. For those who like text, there is a page of cursive writing of bird observations on yellowed ledger paper.
Pictured here are selections from a few of the full images in the digital collection (i.e., what is shown is a portion of the full image you will receive).
While I have edited the images to ensure they are of the quality that I would use in my artwork, many are vintage so they may included marks or other signs of aging. They are perfectly imperfect!
All images are open access (copyright free) ~ see statement of use included with the download for more details.
