hey hey xo – mixed media collage on wood panel, 6X6 inches
This unique piece of “skull art” features an altered image from a still life created over 300 years ago. The still life is housed at the MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art) in New York. Its age proves that a fascination with bones is not just a modern obsession. Flowers soften the piece that prompts thoughts of transformation and memory. This is definitely a one of a kind.
Materials: Layers of mixed media, including various papers, acrylic and watercolour paints, as well as photo transfers on 6X6" wood panel. Sides of panel are painted black. It’s ready to hang as is (no framing required) or the panel can stand on a shelf, in a bookcase, on a piano, etc.
This is an original mixed media painting on a wood panel consisting of a 3 mm birch surface cradled on a 1.5" thickness gallery wood frame. Signed on reverse. All works are sealed with a matte or gloss finish to ensure protection against fading, discolouration, and moisture. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
