A mystery couple from the 1920s. . .A wedding photo found at an antique store is the focal point of this mixed media piece. Rusted safety pins and a scrap of thread are embedded into the wax, in keeping with the vintage wedding theme. This piece also includes a fragment of an upcycled paper bag from Reunion Moonshine by Top Shelf Distillers, as well as scraps of vintage letters
Materials: Layers of mixed media and encaustic (wax) on 6X6" wood panel with vintage papers. Sides of panel are painted black. It’s ready to hang as is (no framing required) or the panel can stand on a shelf, in a bookcase, on a piano, etc.
This is an original mixed media painting on a wood panel consisting of a 3 mm birch surface cradled on a 1.5" thickness gallery wood frame. Signed on reverse. This piece features encaustic (beeswax). Encaustic pieces may be lightly polished or dusted with a lint free cloth. Avoid placing all artwork in direct sunlight.
